In the words of Regina George.. XOmandysue Box Review #2

This post is brought to you by Regina George.

I’m sorry! I swear I’m not a mean person, I just couldn’t help myself, haha.

EDIT: XOmandysue has stopped offering their subscription service since this blog post was written (at least I can’t find the option on their site anymore if they do). They are a normal online boutique now.

How XOmandysue works:
1) Head on over to xomandysue.com and subscribe to one of three options for their box service (one month, three months, or 12 months). Use code first25 to receive your first outfit for $25 if you sign up for the three month option. There’s no styling fee, just a flat fee for the subscription.
2) Complete a VERY short style profile, and choose what style of clothes you would like to receive from the following options: laid back cool, boho babe, edgy chic, or casual.
3) Receive your box and rock your new outfit! Each box usually includes three pieces: two clothing items and a piece of jewelry.

Well, at least it’s wrapped very pretty.

As a reminder, I’m trying out the three month option. This is my second month. I’ve chosen the edgy chic category for my clothing, although these outfits really have me second guessing if I actually know what edgy is..

The first piece is this black tie-neck blouse. Very soft, but easily wrinkled. Not an easy care item for sure. Also, I’m not sure how I’m supposed to wear it. Tied or untied? I don’t know. It’s nice, but really nothing special. I can’t even imagine what event I would wear this to, because I’m a nurse so my options for wearing anything even remotely business casual are slim to none.

Here it is.. The skirt. I tried the outfit with the blouse out and then tucked in. The latter was better, but it didn’t make me want to keep the outfit. I feel like the skirt hits me in all of the wrong places and it’s way too long for my liking.

Last but not least, the bracelet. It’s pretty, but I’m not even sure it’s a bracelet. It could be an anklet. The boxes don’t come with invoices or item descriptions, which is also a touch annoying, but not a huge deal.

I really hope that next month’s (my last) box brings a much better outfit, because I was not a huge fan of this month!

Until next time!
Tia 🙂
