Our Second Anniversary! The Love Stays Strong! Stitch Fix Review #23 and #24

I got to meet this cross-eyed beauty for the first time!

My sister has two new kittens. This is Skye. Fenway refused to take a picture with me.

Here’s how Stitch Fix works:

1) Sign up and create your own personal style profile
2) Schedule your first shipment (how exciting!)
3) Receive and try on your clothing in the comfort of your own home, styled with pieces that you already own
4) Check out online, within 3 days. Leave detailed feedback about what you loved and what you didn’t like so much. Every bit of information helps your stylist grow
5) Mail back your returns in the provided pre-paid envelope
6) Show off your new items! 🙂

Well guys, since I’m SO behind the ball on this whole blogging thing I’ve decided to back log my fixes from the past two years. These will just be short impressions of the items that I received with pictures of the style cards included. There will not always be pictures of myself, because I wasn’t big into reveals that long ago. Feel free to pin away!

Fix #23

I requested Courtney to be my new stylist! I’m so glad customer service was able to honor my request. Personally, if I want something to be set in stone, like my choice in stylist, I e-mail customer service directly and have them make a note on my account. For this Fix I requested some fun spring pieces as well as a satchel.

Urban Expressions Elisha Zipper Accent Structured Satchel – $58

(Sorry for the weird arm thing that’s going on in this picture.)

Oh. Heck. Yes. I love this bag SO much. I use it for work and it holds everything that I need perfectly. It’s just the right size and I love the coral color. I was originally hoping for mint or teal, but Courtney had already sent me a bag in a similar color in my last Fix so I totally understand her reasoning.
KEPT.

Renee C Randal Split Back Top – $48

I had this shirt on my Pinterest for a hot second before I removed it, so it’s really funny to me that Courtney decided on her own to send it. She knows I love showing off my back, but I was looking for a more exaggerated split back. I also wasn’t a real big fan of all of the loud colors.
RETURNED.

Dear John Finnegan Roll Cuff Short – $48

I was excited to receive some shorts, but these looked like total mom shorts on me. The inseam was longer, and had them going to almost right above my knee. When I say “mom shorts” I mean, I usually wear short shorts, hah.
RETURNED.

Papermoon Warburton Crochet Hem Knit Top – $44

This top was very cute, but I hated the material. It was so clingy on me, you could literally see every detail of my body and it made my bust look comical because of my bra.
RETURNED.

Just Black Adorra Skinny Jean – $88

I almost felt BAD about receiving these pants, because there are so many people on the boards dying to get their hands on a pair and I didn’t even request them. My guilt was very short lived though, because once I put them on I fell in love immediately. The fit is amazing and the color is so bright and vibrant!
KEPT.

This Fix was a huge box of color and happiness! Even though I only kept 2/5 items they were items that I really loved, and I was really impressed with how well Courtney met my every request.

Fix #24

Happy second year anniversary Stitch Fix! For this Fix I simply requested more spring tops to build up my wardrobe some more. I was so excited to finally receive my first pair of shoes!

Colette Agather Printed Halter Knit Top – $48

When I peeked I was so certain I was going to love this top, because I thought the pattern was polka dots. I was super surprised to find that they were actually little hearts. That’s cute, I guess, but I’m 25 and even I think I’m a little old for that. I loved how soft it was and the fit of the halter. Those darn hearts just ruined it for me!
RETURNED.

Seychelles Waypoint Laser Cut Bootie – $150

I wasn’t too into these booties when I saw them in my peek, but I was still really excited to receive my first pair of shoes. I didn’t like them any more when I tried them on (I would have had to size down anyway as they were way too big), but I appreciated the experience!
RETURNED.

Kut From The Kloth Dayna Skinny Jean – $88

My first pair of Kut From The Kloth jeans! Thankfully, after having been on the B/S/T boards for about a year I came to learn that these jeans either run big or stretch out drastically throughout the day. I was able to get a size exchange from customer service and I’m a super happy camper!
KEPT.
Pixley Cristi Crochet Overlay Knit Top – $54

This tank top is so cute. It has a crochet overlay and the gold parts actually have sparkles in them. I was so in love when I bought it, but I never ended up wearing it. It’s still sitting in my closet NWT. I’ve posted it on the B/S/T board, free shipping. Someone please buy this adorable tank! I can’t stand to see it wasting away in my closet 🙁
KEPT, BUT SELLING.

Papermoon Kirin Embroidery Detail Knit Top – $33

I was sort of annoyed with this top, because even though I liked the colors it was made out of the same material as the Papermoon top that I returned from my previous Fix. I didn’t like it then, and I still don’t like it now. I don’t think that the stylists know the fabric makeup of every item they choose though, so I can’t entirely blame Courtney.
RETURNED.

Another 2/5, but I got the MOST AMAZING pair of jeans out of it! A huge win if you ask me!

Well this has been a fun trip down memory lane! I hope I’ve given my fellow Fixers an insight into what Stitch Fix was sending last year, and some inspiration for your Pinterests 🙂 Thanks so much for choosing to read my little blog.

Until next time!
– Tia 🙂
