Things that I hate about the holiday season: music, snow, the outrageous amount of money that I forget I’ve already spent on gifts before I spend more money, Hallmark movies.. also, ham. Just call me the Grinch. I’m okay with it.
Things that I love about the holiday season: the FASHION. We’re talking metallics, sparkles, sequins, and glitter. Classy New Years dresses and chunky statement jewelry. Literally, heaven. Which is exactly what I asked for in my latest Fix!
I just have to point out all of the things that Courtney referenced in this note: what I asked for in my previous Fix, my disdain for pointy toe shoes, my love for Bailey44, my preference for fitted clothing, and the fact that this is the first Christmas I’ll be spending with Matt as husband and wife. Basically, she’s the most attentive stylist ever and I love her.
I apologize for looking like a crazy person in all of these pictures, but I was so excited!
Creative Commune Maryn Textured Knit Dress – $84
I wasn’t sure that I was going to like this dress when I first peeked, but the app picture really doesn’t do it justice. The dress is mostly fitted, but also a bit stretchy. I love the neckline and sleeves, as well as the gold embellishment throughout. It fits me to a T and is going to be amazing to wear to my upcoming Christmas party this year.

Bailey44 Nora Tiered Midi Dress – $172
What a gorgeous dress! This dress screams “upscale New Years party” to me. Not that I’ll be invited to any, but I’ll look like I was! I specifically love the neckline and that it is fitted. I was already sold at Bailey44, but this color is to die for.

Cupcakes and Cashmere Casie Faux Leather Faux Suede Jacket – $148
I love faux leather and I love faux suede, so this was a win win item for me. It was a little small in the arms. I would have definitely had to size up. I’m sad to say that I actually didn’t keep it. While it would have gone with both dresses, I just own way too many black faux leather/suede jackets. I couldn’t justify buying myself another, especially at that price.

Bay to Baubles Lisa Floral Bauble Rope Collar Necklace – $34
I’m SUPER picky about jewelry and for the longest time I’ve had it checked off on my Stitch Fix profile as an item not to send, but for this Fix I took a leap of faith and I’m so glad I did. I love this statement necklace. It works with both dresses and has a sort of floral/rose gold feel to it which is super appealing to me.

Urban Expressions Lorna Envelope Clutch – $38
I’m a total sucker for bags, so this last item had me all excited. I love the sparkly gold exterior of this clutch. I love even more that it’s spacious inside with slots for cards, which isn’t the norm for bags like this. It comes with a chain for those of us who prefer cross-bodys as opposed to having to carry our bag around all night.

In the end, this Fix was a 4/5 for me.. which is amazing! I’m really happy with everything that came in my Fix and it was almost a 5/5, but I just couldn’t pull the trigger on the jacket knowing that I have three others hanging in my closet.
And viola! Here are my two outfit options for this holiday season. I am totally in love with both of them, but which is YOUR favorite? 🙂
Thanks for taking the time to read my little blog! 🙂
