#40
This is my hibernation Fix. It’s already been established, I hate winter. But it’s a fact of life that isn’t going away anytime soon (or is it? Hello 60 degree weekend!). So for this Fix I’ve asked Courtney to provide me with a few options for winter jackets (my current one is eight years old), as well as some more comfy sweaters to batten down and survive these next few chilly months in.
So incredibly jealous that Courtney is based out of Texas, but also thankful that she can still grasp my need for warm clothing.
Le Lis Alegra Hooded Knit Top – $58
Full disclosure, I thought I was going to HATE this top. I’m not a huge fan of pattern mixing, and I’m really not a fan of polka dots.. usually. But I love this top! It’s soft and casual. Courtney was right, it goes perfect with my joggers that she sent in a previous Fix. This is going to be a great outfit for curling up and snoozing away the rest of this yucky weather in.

Marc New York Savana Quilted Puffer Coat – $108
This coat is gorgeous. The color is very pretty and I like the quilted appearance. It’s fitted, with pockets that are insulated. It’s too bad that I didn’t have the budget for two winter coats (but does anyone really need two winter coats?).

Marc New York Teanen Puffer Coat – $98
The second coat Courtney sent me is a traditional puffer coat that is also fitted and in a dark, charcoal grey color. So, why did I choose this coat instead of the other one? Simple. It’s warmer! Not only are the pockets insulated on this jacket, but so are the wrists and the neck. I was so excited to start wearing my new coat that I didn’t even care that we’ve had a sudden spike in temperature and it’s been in the 40’s these past few days.

Pixley Sancho Bar Back Cutout Detail Pullover – $68
I really love this sweater! The color is great for me and I can’t get enough of the braided detail on the arms and torso. I like that it has a wide neckline, but that I can also wear a normal bra. And let’s not forget this cutout back detail. Perfect!

Central Park West Drea Lace-Up Sweater – $118
I can definitely see why Courtney sent me this top. My Pinterest probably has three or four Central Park West tops on it as well as a bunch of other tops that are lace up in the front. It’s cute, but not for the price. It’s a touch on the sheer side (you can tell I’m wearing a green cami underneath), and if I’m going to spend over $100 on a top I really need to feel in love with it.
VERDICT: 3/5
I wanted a new winter coat and I found one. Mission accomplished! The other two pieces are just icing on top of the cake. I got a new comfy casual top that I never thought I would like and I do! I also got a beautiful pullover. I’m calling this one a WIN!
Thanks for taking the time to read my little blog! 🙂

Oh! I like that Pixley sweater and the lace up. I don't like winter either, so it's good to know what's cozy 😉
