#43

For this Fix I didn’t really have any special events or plans coming up, so I was low on specific requests. Instead I just told Courtney to think Spring, and if she found a bodysuit or distressed top that she thought I would like I wouldn’t mind trying one out (I’m not having any luck finding them on my own).

Hummingbird Liara Knot Front Knit Top – $32

Soft and comfy, but I don’t feel like it does much for my body. It seems a little big and I’m not a huge fan of the way it hangs on me. Shirts like this confuse me, because it’s comfy enough to laze around in, but the knot detail makes me feel like I should be wearing it in public to show it off. Eh, it’s not for me.
RETURNED.

Yumi Kim Kandace Silk Romper – $228

Let me start out by saying that this romper is the most adorable romper ever. It’s made out of silk, which is why it’s so expensive. I think it suits my body type really well, which is astounding, because most rompers make me look like a little boy. Unfortunately, because Matt and I are building a house right now I just can’t afford it! I don’t have any qualms with the price (it’s not even the most money I’ve ever spent on a romper, if you remember my honeymoon Fix), but it just can’t happen right now 🙁
RETURNED (regretfully).

n:Philanthropy Gayla Distressed French Terry Sweatshirt – $128

I thought I was going to love this sweater, but I think I hate it! It looks like it was shrunk in the wash (maybe that’s what they were going for), so the sleeves are really short and so is the torso. I like that it’s distressed, but I’m not huge on all of the other details. I appreciate this brand and the fact that they donate a portion of their earnings to pediatric cancer research and animal welfare charities, but it’s just not for me. I’ll definitely check out some of their other items!
RETURNED.

RD Style Zelini Cutout Sleeve Detail Knit Top – $54

You guys are going to think that I’m crazy, but I really love this top! I find it very soft and comfy, made out of almost sweater-like material. It’s perfect for pairing with leggings, and I think the cutout detail on the arms is really cool. It’s a little oversized, but it fits like I prefer my sweaters to fit.
KEPT.
LNA Melinda Cut-Out Knit Top – $84

This is my favorite item from this Fix! It’s form sitting and flattering, and the cut out detail is really cool. It makes me feel feminine and maybe even a little sexy. I have another top from LNA that is one of my favorites as well. I think I’m developing brand love!

Verdict: 2/5
No body suits in this Fix, but a few distressed tops. I always appreciate it when it looks like Courtney has tried her hardest for me. Even if she can’t get something that I request she always sends something that she knows I’ll love. I only kept two items, but I would have kept the romper as well if I wasn’t trying to save money for our new house. Maybe we’ll meet again in the future, haha.

Thanks for taking the time to read my little blog! 🙂
