#46

For this Fix I asked Courtney to help me pull together a look for my upcoming Taylor Swift concert in August.

Kensie Jeans Bransen Ruffle Trim Denim Jacket – $78

While this jacket is very Taylor Swift, I don’t think it’s at all Tia Miller. I’m not a fan of light washes, and the ruffles are a huge turn off. They make the collar very stiff, and I’m not really a collar up kind of girl.
RETURNED.
Vince Camuto Elison Nubuck Peep Toe Bootie – $119

Now this is what I was talking about. I’ve been looking for a block heel bootie for a while now, and I am head over “heels” for this pair. The details like the open toe and braided side are what set these apart from other heels in the same category. Not only are they comfortable, but they give me that feminine, edgy feel that I love.
KEPT.
Fortune + Ivy Adora Lace Overlay Blouse – $40

If I have to wear a blouse, then this is normally the kind that I would go for. However, there’s something just not right about the fit of this one. It starts out fitted and then flares out a bit at the hips, making them look wider than they are. I love the lace detail and the neckline, but I can’t get past the bad fit.
RETURNED.
Kut From The Kloth Adriana Cold Shoulder Blouse – $58

I’m always a fan of cold shoulders, but the fit of this shirt is a bit odd on me. It’s a little big, but not at all stretchy, so it’s a little tight on my hips. The pattern is cute, but I’m not big on the color combination.
RETURNED.
Studio Blue Del Mar Distressed Skinny Jean – $64

Okay, I know I said that I didn’t like light washes, but on a case by case basis.. I love these jeans. Admittedly, I think it might have a lot to do with the distressing on them, but they go perfectly with my new heels and I can think of a few shirts in my closet that would really pull this outfit together.
KEPT.
Verdict: 2/5
I was hoping for more “Look What You Made Me Do” and I feel like I got more “Teardrops on My Guitar,” which is probably my fault for not having been specific enough in my note. While I only kept two items, I really like the items that I kept. I have another month before my concert, so that’s one more Fix for Courtney to work her magic and help me pull this outfit together.
Here are the two outfits that I put together using the items from this box. Which was your favorite?
