How does FabFitFun work?
Type of subscription: wellness, beauty, fashion, and fitness
Frequency: seasonal (4x/yr. March, June, September, and December)
Amount of products received: differs, but over $200 worth in value
Cost: $49.99/season or $179.99/annual (that’s $20 in savings!)
You have two choices when subscribing: seasonal or annual. Perks of being an annual subscriber include being the first to be able to purchase add-ons for your box as well as being offered additional customization and choices (such as colors or phrases on items). Annual members also have the perk of earlier shipping times.
To be clear, EVERYONE eventually gets access to the add-ons. And EVERYONE gets to customize some of their seasonal boxes. Annual members just have early access and more options. Just so you know what you’re paying for 🙂

Summer 2018
The box comes with a magazine that details the box’s items and gives some insider information on some of it’s designers. Each season FabFitFun features a charity and gives it’s subscribers the option of donating towards it while they are picking out their add ons. This season the charity was the Wildlife Conservation Society, whose main goal is to save wildlife and wild places worldwide. Such a worthy cause! I love being able to donate to these charities! If you are interested in donating yourself (all gifts are tax-deductible), you can here: Wildlife Conservation Society.
Box items
COOLA Face Sport SPF 50 White Tea Moisturizer – $32 value
When I think of perfect items to receive in a summer box, of course sunscreen comes to mind! I’ve heard great things about the brand COOLA, and I’ve tried one of their primers before. This sunscreen is specifically for your face and doubles as a moisturizer – nice! Water and sweat resistant, this sunscreen is SPF 50. Perfect for fair people like myself. COOLA uses organic ingredients that you can feel good about, but unfortunately for me there are also several types of oils in this product (maybe 4?) which means that because of my eyelash extensions I cannot use it on my face. Which is so sad, because the white tea scent is DIVINE!
FOREO LUNA fofo – $89 value
How stinkin’ cute is this little guy? This is the first spoiler that FabFitFun released for the summer box and it already had me hooked! It wasn’t even available for purchase yet, so FabFitFun subscribers got the fun chance to be it’s first testers. This item came in six or seven variations for colors and I was psyched to receive the Sunflower Yellow one. This little device is used to deep cleanse your face by vibrating. It’s silicone coating makes it super easy to clean and reuse without the worry of bacteria building up (yuck!). As if that wasn’t convincing enough, this little buddy also comes with an app that you can download onto your phone. Once synced your Foreo will analyze your skin while you use it and come up with a customized cleansing strategy that works for you. I mean, just look at that little face!
And here is a picture of what the app looks like:
Pier 1 Imports Marble Ring Dish – $14.99 value (not available online, but there are MANY for sale on Poshmark)
Okay, okay.. I know. ANOTHER jewelry dish? Um, but can we talk about this gorgeous marble design and gold lining? FabFitFun.. I ain’t even mad. Yeah, I have separate dishes for my rings, earrings, hair ties, and beauty blenders.. so what? Give me more and I will find more things to put on them. I love receiving beauty and fashion items, but I get really giddy when they send decor type things. Because, I don’t know. I think I’m just getting better at this adulting thing.
Give a Sip Straw – sponsored item
This was our sponsored item this box. It’s a paper straw from the Wildlife Conservation Society promoting their Give a Sip campaign which you can find more information on here. I don’t ever use straws in general, not just because of the plastic waste, but because it’s just a preference. But I think that this is a really thoughtful item to include, especially given that some states are (or are considering) outlawing plastic straws. The magazine that came with this summer box gave some frightening statistics on the use of plastic straws like “by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean (by weight) than fish,” and “more than 260 species of wildlife have ingested plastic or have become entangled in plastic debris.”
Choice items
You guys, there were SO MANY options for customization in this box! I was practically in heaven.
Jaboneria Marinella Hawaiian Black Lava Body Caviar – $48 value
For my first choice I was able to choose between this body scrub, a pearl ring (tempting, but they don’t go as small as my fingers would require), or muscle gel (trust me, I’m probably the last person who needs it). This scrub, or “black lava body caviar” (how high brow does that sound?), makes me feel super luxurious. It is salt and oil based, but since it isn’t going anywhere near my face I don’t have any issues with using it. Yay! It also contains other fun ingredients like green tea extract and coffee, and leaves out all of the things you don’t want like parabens, silicones, and harsh chemicals. And no animal testing here, so you can actually feel good about using it. Even though it contains oil it didn’t leave an oily feeling on my skin when I got out of the shower. I think the only thing that I wasn’t a huge fan about was the scent. It was on the musky side and I prefer more floral scents.
Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator – $29 value
For my next option I was given the choice between this exfoliating cleanser, a small wristlet (too small for me, but very cute), and a sports resistance band (need I reiterate how not sporty I am?). The choice was easy. Plus, if I was getting a body exfoliator then I might as well also find a new one for my face. Oh, but wait, it has oil in it. I suck. I guess it just goes to show that I need to do a lot more research before I make my choices next time. This is a microdermabrasion exfoliant, which basically just means that it’s super fine and a little more gentle on sensitive skin. It doesn’t use any plastic beads and is 99% natural, flying in from Canada – aye.
ORLANDO PITA PLAY Atmos-Shield Hair Protectant Treatment Spray – $34 value
For my third choice I was able to choose between this hair treatment or a facial enzyme peel (glad I didn’t choose it, because it probably contains oil.. AM I RIGHT?). Anyway, this spray is a thermal protectant, meaning your hair will still love you if you attempt to fry it with your blow dryer or straightening/curling iron. If you aren’t big on hair tools like myself, that’s no problem! This spray also seals split ends and locks in moisture, leaving you with softer, smoother hair. While I definitely think this spray does its job, it doesn’t quite compare to some of the other brands that I’ve been using lately (namely Briogeo, it’s a 10, and Eva NYC). I do love the light subtle scent.
tarte tartiest PRO glow highlight and contour palette – $45 value
This next customization option was a choice between two Tarte products: this contour palette (Tarteist Pro Glow), or a combo of their Tarteist Pro To Go palette and Sex Kitten Liquid Liner. I really like Tarte products, so these options had me all giddy. I chose this palette because I have a ton of eyeshadows, but my contouring could use some bulking up. I don’t regret my decision (just look at those swatches!). This palette comes with four highlights and two contours (one powder and one cream). I found that these were just as good on the face as they were swatched. They were pigmented, easily blendable, and buildable. Another Tarte product doesn’t disappoint!
Summer & Rose Beach Towel in Rocky Palm Print – $55 value on sale for $20 on their website!
Admittedly, for this last choice option I JUST COULD NOT CHOOSE. So I picked one of both items! My options were between a Yumi Kim makeup case in two different patterns (shown below) and a Summer and Rosé beach towel, also in two different patterns. When I saw this towel and all of the pretty colors on it I knew I had to have it. Not only is this towel surprisingly very soft (it’s microfiber), but it’s oversized so it’s huge! Just looking at this beach towel makes me feel all tropical and sunny.
Yumi Kim Jet Setter Makeup Train Case in Navy Geo – $58 value
For $10 I was able to add this makeup case onto my choice options. It’s absolutely huge. It has two eyeshadow palettes in it, among my other favorite makeup items, and there is still room to spare. The top has a zipper compartment and a spot for brushes, and then the bottom is the bulk of the bag which is very deep. I’m absolutely loving the navy color and the geometric pattern lining. So glad I added this on!
The total value of this box was $404.99 ($269 was just for the choice items)! And I only paid $10 to add on an extra choice item. So worth it! Honestly, this has been my favorite box to date, and I think it might have to do with the fact that I got to pick practically all of the items that I received, haha. I really loved all of these items, save for the ones that I won’t be able to use until I remove my extensions (NEVER). I can’t wait to see what the fall box brings!
Thanks for reading!
