Bag #19
The bag this month is made of a thinner material. It’s a bright orange color with yellow lining on the outside and a yellow tassel zipper. The inside is orange as well.
Pixi by Petra Fresh Face Blush in Beach Rose (full size!) – retail $5
This blush is GORGEOUS! It gives your cheeks a rosey glow that can easily go from subtle and natural to bright and flushed. I found this blush to be very pigmented. A little goes a long way. And it’s full size, which is a huge bonus!
belif Aqua Bomb – full size retail $38
It’s all in the name with this moisturizer. This cream is meant to provide intense hydration and smooth skin while minimizing the appearance of pores. I really like this item because it’s suited for all types of skin. It’s very thin, so it dries super fast and doesn’t leave behind a sticky feeling. I’ve always heard great things about the wonders of Korean skincare products and know I’m a belif-er (har har!).
Bang Beauty Eyeshadow Quad in Smokey (full size!) – retail $18
This is an interesting little mini palette. It includes four shadows, three shimmers and one matte, that are all designed to be an all-in-one smokey eye application. I’m not very practiced at smokey eyes, but I still think this is a great item to receive in my bag. The matte shade was very pigmented and easy to apply, whereas the shimmers gave me a little bit of trouble. All in all, I liked that I was able to complete a cohesive look using one palette. You can see the results below!
Formula 10.0.6 Three Times Sublime – full size retail $7
This scrub smells absolutely delicious. This item can be used in a few different ways, but since I’m not a huge fan of masks I just used it as my daily cleansing scrub. The jojoba beads exfoliate your skin while leaving you feeling fresh and smooth. Ready to take on the day! I highly recommend. This skincare item is one of those rare finds that is not only amazing, but affordable!
HUDA Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Bombshell (full size!) – retail $20
I didn’t think that I was going to like this lip color very much, because it’s a nude pink and nudes don’t work too well with my skin tone. Thankfully it pulled more pink than nude on me. It came off as a “my lips but better” kind of color, which makes it ideal for casual every day events. I found that this lipstick was a little on the wet side, and took a second to dry, but was pretty easy to apply and very comfortable to wear. It lasted a very long time as well! I wore it to a wedding and didn’t feel the need to touch up at all during the night.
The verdict: 4/5
This bag was a WIN for me! I loved the majority of the products and was able to use all of the makeup to pull together a cohesive look for my cousin’s wedding. The only product I probably won’t use more of is the eyeshadow quad. They aren’t shades I naturally gravitate towards and the shimmers gave me some issues. The skincare products were awesome and the lipstick and blush are some of my favorites so far.
