How does FabFitFun work?
Type of subscription: wellness, beauty, fashion, and fitness
Frequency: seasonal (4x/yr. March, June, September, and December)
Amount of products received: differs, but over $200 worth in value (!)
Cost: $49.99/season or $179.99/annual (that’s $20 in savings!)
You have two choices when subscribing: seasonal or annual. Perks of being an annual subscriber include being the first to be able to purchase add-ons for your box as well as being offered additional customization and choices (such as colors or phrases on items). Annual members also have the perk of earlier shipping times.
To be clear, EVERYONE eventually gets access to the add-ons. And EVERYONE gets to customize some of their seasonal boxes. Annual members just have early access and more options. Just so you know what you’re paying for 🙂

Fall 2018 Box
I looooove the design and colors of this box. It gives me those warm and fuzzy Autumn feels.
Each box comes with a magazine that details the box’s items and gives some insider information on some of it’s designers. Each season FabFitFun features a charity and gives it’s subscribers the option of donating towards it while they are picking out their add ons. This season the charity was Right Action for Women, a charity that “provides assistance to women who are at increased risk for breast cancer and do not have insurance or the financial flexibility to cover the high costs associated with breast screenings.” The magazine features an interview with Christina Applegate, actress and founder of RAW.
Included in my box this month was a code for a friend to receive $10 off of their first box, an advertisement for Luna’s Rica bars (the sponsored item in this box), and a gift card towards a subscription to HelloFresh.
beautyblender in “the original” – $20 value
I’ve paid the $20 for these little miracles, so receiving one in my box is an amazing gift. If you aren’t familiar with beautyblenders, or other sponges like it, they were created for use in the application of foundations and concealers.. but you can use them for literally anything else. The sky is the limit. You want to slap on some powder and bake? Do it. You want to blend your cream contour, but don’t want the streakiness that comes with using a brush. Do I have a tool for you. I love these little guys. To use your blender the way it was intended, wet it first and squeeze out excess water. This will cause the foam to expand and become softer, making application easier and more comfortable. Don’t rub, but “bounce” the blender around your face. Doesn’t that just sound so fun? The end result is an airbrushed, streak free look.
GLAMGLOW BUBBLESHEET Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask – $9/per mask value
This mask has been described as a tingly bubble bath for your face. Which probably sounds really fun for some people that aren’t me. If you’re looking to detox, purify and glow, as well as cover your face in hundreds of bubbles then this mask if for you. It uses bamboo charcoal and green tea to achieve these ends. Just unfold, foam up, wait three minutes, and then wash off. Easy peasy!
Simply Whimsical Tea Towels – $15 value
Look at these cute decorative towels. Let’s just talk about how the adorable white and grey pattern perfectly matches our white and grey themed kitchen. I thought that they looked great hanging on our oven. I felt like a regular homemaker. So fancy. But a mere 15 minutes after my husband got home they were down, folded, and placed in the cupboard with the other kitchen towels. This means one of two things: my husband has terrible taste, or I’m not as good at coordinating my home as I thought I was. I think we both know which one is correct.
Skin and Co Roma Blue in Capri Shower Gel – $22 value
This item is a limited edition, so if this review sounds promising to you then take the opportunity to scoop it up using the link above! This gel features scents of alpine rose, wild sage, and lemon. It gently cleanses and hydrates, leaving your skin feeling fresh and clean after your shower. This gel can also be used as a bubble bath. I’m used to using Spongelle body buffers, but I took a break to try out this product and I like it!
Luna Rica Bar in “Salted Caramel Nut” – sponsored item ($2 value)
Our bonus item this box is this LUNA Bar. I love receiving food items to try. It’s always such a fun surprise! I wasn’t entirely sure that I liked this bar. The texture is a little weird to me as it’s filled with a cashew butter filling. It’s not overly sweet and it’s made with organic ingredients. I didn’t really taste caramel, because the cashew butter was pretty overpowering, but I thought that it was pretty good.
Vince Camuto Luck Tote – $128 value
I own some Vince Camuto shoes, but none of their bags. For my first choice I was allowed to choose between this bag and Crown makeup brushes. I already own SO MANY makeup brushes, so even though I wasn’t immediately in awe of this tote I chose it. I was then able to choose whether I wanted it to be brown or black. This bag is made out of vegan leather and is a really nice size for travel. There is one inner pocket, perfect size for your phone.
Catherine Malandrino Umbrella – $40 value
For my second choice I was able to choose between this umbrella or a bluetooth headphone set. I chose the umbrella, because I wasn’t totally excited about either of the options, but I figured that an umbrella would be more practical. I was then able to choose from two different prints. I liked this one because it was floral and colorful. This umbrella features a one touch open mechanism and is compact enough to fit into any sized bag for easy transporting. It comes with a sleeve, so you don’t have to get your bag wet while putting it away after use, as well as a wrist strap. Unfortunately, mine came broken! Sad day! In times like this, I’m happy that FabFitFun has such amazing customer service.
ALFRED French Press Coffee Brewer – FabFitFun lists this as a $22 value
For my third choice I was given the option of this french press or a ceramic teapot from the same company. I chose the french press and then I added on the teapot as an extra because I thought that they were both just so darn cute! I haven’t gotten to use my french press yet, because I don’t yet own the type of coffee required, but I’m super excited to! Everyone always says that coffee from a french press is the best, so I can’t wait to try for myself.
Cuccio yogahhh! Detox Bath – $40 value
As an annual member I also have the option of selecting which items I want from a variety of options that monthly subscribers will receive a random selection of. For my first selection I was able to choose between an eye cream, a metallic lipstick duo, and these bath salts. If I’m being entirely honest, I didn’t really want ANY of these items, haha. But I chose these bath salts, because out of all of the items this is one that I thought I would be most likely to use. I really love the packaging of this product. It comes with a little spout on the bag making it easy to pour and reseal. No messes! The scent of eucalyptus is very calming and easy to unwind to. It was created to be used for post-workout, but a crazy 12 hour shift at the hospital justifies relaxation in my book (maybe even more).
Grown Alchemist Polishing Facial Exfoliant – FabFitFun lists this as a $67 value
For my next selection I was able to choose between three Grown Alchemist skincare products: a facial exfoliant, a cleanser, and a day cream. I’m a sucker for skincare, and I’ve heard great things about this brand. They’re high end and super expensive, so I was excited to be able to try one without having to pay full price. I briefly looked them up online to see whether any of them contained oil, and it looked like all but the exfoliant did. So that was the one I chose. Unfortunately, it would appear that the ingredients list wasn’t in their entirety when I looked it up, because this exfoliant has no less than 10 different types of oil in it. That’s a huge bummer for me, especially because it has a delicious grapefruit scent to it.
The total value of my box was $374! I had really mixed feelings about some of the items that I received, probably because I was so in love with the Summer box. These items just weren’t on par (for me!). I did love receiving a food item to try, even though I wasn’t totally a fan of the Luna bar’s texture. I’m most excited about my new french press and beautyblender. I’m least thrilled with the face masks and the exfoliant that I can’t use. And mostly I’m grateful that FabFitFun has such amazing customer service that is willing to send me a new, not broken, umbrella.
Thanks for reading!
