BMO does not enjoy the cone of shame 🙁
(The items received in this post were complimentary from the brands and Influenster in return for my honest review. This blog post may contain referral/affiliate links that would benefit me if you clicked on them.)
You’ve never heard of Influenster? Let me fill you in!
Influenster is a community of people who like to try products and then review them. These products could be anything from makeup and skincare, to laundry detergent and dog food. Influenster has a ton of categories available for reviewing. For that reason, they’ve become a trusted spot for people who are considering buying items to search for honest reviews before dropping their hard earned money.
When you sign up with Influenster you connect your social accounts which gives you an impact score. Try not to obsess over this too much. Mine was only around 110 when I received my first VoxBox. After you’ve connected all of your social accounts you’ll tell Influenster a little bit about your interests and from there they will recommend some “snaps” for you. These snaps are really small surveys that Influenster uses to narrow down your preferences and likes when it comes to the products that you use. I had answered 12 snaps (LEISURELY) when I received my first VoxBox.
Eventually, Influenster will send you your very own VoxBox. These boxes are full of often times full size products with the expectation that you will post reviews on said items to your various social media accounts. Some examples of VoxBoxes that have been sent out in the past are: Kat Von D, L’Oréal, Sour Patch, and Hellman’s. So as you can see there is quite a bit of variety!
The minimal requirements for receiving a VoxBox are: a profile on Influenster, a connected Instagram account, and time. While you don’t have to fill out a million snaps to be sent a box, it doesn’t hurt to do one or two now and then. Once you receive your first box to review you’re more likely to receive others in the future.
Good luck!
These packages are always the absolute cutest. I love the print they use.
My box came with a cute card that details the items on the back and their prices.
I was sent five items in this box. These ranged from haircare to basic hygienic and nail items. It was quite the exciting assortment!
Not Your Mother’s Beat the Heat Thermal Spray– $7 value
I used to straighten my hair so often when I was in high school and college that I pretty much fried it. That was NOT a good time for me. Now if I want to style my hair I make sure to use some sort of thermal protection. I really liked this spray specifically because it made my hair feel SO soft when I was finished hitting it with the heat. It’s made with vitamins A and E, as well as sunflower extract. It smells absolutely amazing! If you’re someone who likes to hit the iron as much as I used to, this is a very cheap option to try and will save your hair a lot of trauma.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 – $8.99 value
I already loved micellar water long before receiving one in my box. There are so many reasons why this product is amazing. First of all, it’s so gentle on your face. Even for those of us with sensitive skin. It completely removes your makeup, so you don’t have to worry about waking up with raccoon eyes the next day or ripping out your eyelashes on accident trying to take off your mascara. And you don’t even have to rinse after. This is the only product that I trust at the end of the day to get the job done.
Toffifay – $2.49 value for 12 ct
I don’t even like chocolate, but I love these little guys. Toffifay are whole hazelnuts surrounded in hazelnut cream, seated in a caramel shell, with a dollop of chocolate on top. Basically, they’re the best. I was sent a 30 count of these. THIRTY. I had to leave some at work, because I ate an entire 15 count by myself. No judgement, right?
Sinful Colors Professionals in Rorange and Vacation Time – $3/$2 value respectively
My last two items were these nail polishes from Sinful Colors. I’d never heard of this brand before, but I really liked these polishes. They dried super quick and I liked that they had a matte finish. They went on easy, and weren’t streaky at all. I only needed two coats. I also found that even without a top coat they were pretty long lasting. Rorange is a bright brick red, and Vacation Time is a rosy color. I liked both of them a lot, but my favorite was definitely Rorange. It was such a pretty color to finish out Fall in!
My impression of the box items: I liked them all! Everything in this box was something that I’m definitely going to use. I’m really happy that it introduced me to a new brand of nail polish and heat protectant for my hair. Obviously I enjoyed the Toffifay, even though when I originally received them I had my doubts that I would like them much. And I already have mad love for micellar water, so that was an added bonus!
My impression of reviewing on Influenster: much smoother this time around! I didn’t have any errors when attempting to submit my posts and I had no reasons to have to contact customer service. I am a happy camper all around.
Thanks for reading!
