How does FabFitFun work?
Type of subscription: wellness, beauty, fashion, and fitness
Frequency: seasonal (4x/yr. March, June, September, and December)
Amount of products received: differs, but over $200 worth in value (!)
Cost: $49.99/season or $179.99/annual (that’s $20 in savings!)

You have two choices when subscribing: seasonal or annual. Perks of being an annual subscriber include being the first to be able to purchase add-ons for your box as well as being offered additional customization and choices (such as colors or phrases on items). Annual members also have the perk of earlier shipping times.

To be clear, EVERYONE eventually gets access to the add-ons. And EVERYONE gets to customize some of their seasonal boxes. Annual members just have early access and more options. Just so you know what you’re paying for 🙂

Winter 2018 Box

The art for this season’s box was done by Karolin Schnoor and it gives me the coziest of feelings!

Each box comes with a magazine that details the boxes items and gives some insider information on some of it’s designers. Each season FabFitFun features a charity and gives it’s subscribers the option of donating towards it while they are picking out their add ons. This season the charity was Kindness Factory. Their website gives you the unique opportunity to write about an act of kindness you performed recently, or that was done unto you. Over 190,000 acts have been logged so far! This month’s magazine comes with a few ideas for acts of kindness that you can perform today. It also gives a bit of background to the organization (which is quite emotional in my opinion!).

Other paperwork included was a code for Hello Fresh and a FabFitFun code for a friend.

Mark and Graham Colorblock Throw in “Gray/Ivory” – $49 value

As an annual subscriber I was able to pick which color I wanted for this throw, so naturally I chose gray. I love that it goes so perfectly with the decor of our living room already. It feels at home on my couch. The fringe and color block detailing are super cute, and the throw itself is incredibly soft. Perfect for accidentally falling asleep under while trying to write this blog post… At $49 this item is the highest valued item in the entire box.

AHAVA Hydration Cream Mask – $33 value (you can earn 5% cash back by using Ebates!)

As someone who isn’t really a fan of using masks, I find the 3 minute wait time for this one completely tolerable. I love AHAVA’s hand creams, so I didn’t have any doubt in my mind that I’d like this product of theirs as well. This mask uses ingredients like shea butter and vitamin E to soften and smooth the skin on your face, leaving you feeling less dry and more hydrated. Perfect if you’re like me and you get super dry in the winter.

BLAQ Hydrogel Eye Masks with Hyaluronic Acid – $29 value

I’m a big fan of the company Blaq, having tried their makeup removing wipes and peel off mask before. These eye masks utilize hyaluronic acid and activated charcoal to reduce puffiness around eyes. This isn’t something that I usually suffer from. My normal issues include dark circles and bags under my eyes. So this product isn’t entirely suited to me, but I did enjoy how soft it made my under eye area feel.

Thrive Cosmetics Brilliant Eye Brightener in “Stella” – $24 value

I LOVE this item! You’re supposed to use it under your eyes to help brighten your look and make you appear more awake (something that I could definitely use more of), but I also like to use it on the inner corner of my eyes and along my brow bone. Stella is a subtle champagne color that glides on smoothly. I’ve used a few other Thrive products before and they never disappoint!

Bearpaw Combo Set: Headband and Pop-Top Glove Duo – $45 value

For my first item choice I was able to choose between this combo or a hair mask. Go ahead and try to tell me that this isn’t the most adorable set that you’ve ever seen. I’ll wait. As someone who hates wearing hats in the winter, I find that this headband is the perfect compromise. It keeps my ears warm, and it doesn’t give me frizzy, static hair. Not to mention it’s lined with faux sherpa lining. So comfy!

Richer Poorer Reina Over the Knee Textured Sock – $24 value

For this choice I was able to pick between these socks, a jade roller, and an eyeshadow palette. I already have way too many palettes, and I thought these socks would be adorable under some of my taller boots. These socks are made from recycled yarn, which is just about one of the coolest things I think that I’ve ever heard. I love how cozy they are!

H Halston Jewelry Portfolio – $48 value

For my third choice I was able to pick from this jewelry organizer, dry shampoo, or a necklace. FINALLY! An easy way to pack all of my jewelry! Would you believe me if I told you that before now I would just throw all of my items into a small ziplock baggie and wish for the best? It’s lucky that I find untangling necklaces to be soothing, because to a normal person that would probably be super anxiety inducing. This portfolio has a spot for all of my different jewelry pieces, and a felt separator running down the middle to keep anything from getting tangled. Aside from how great it is for storage, the gold outside is beautiful!

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in “Meringue” – $26 value (you can receive 4% cash back by using Ebates!)

Because I’m an annual member I was able to make a few more choices for my box. For this choice I could choose between this lipstick, a set of coasters, and workout body sliders. I’d be lying if I said that this was my first choice. Unfortunately, I REALLY wanted the coasters, but they were completely gone by the time I was able to make my picks. Oh well! This lipstick is a pinky nude color that was flattering on my skin tone. Although it was a matte formula it didn’t dry out my lips or feel uncomfortable. And it wore pretty well. I only had to reapply after eating (soup and a sandwich takes down even the mightiest of lipsticks, in my experience).

Way of the Will Elevate Essential Oil Set: Sweet Orange and Eucalyptus Oil – $31 value

For my final item I was given the choice between these essential oils and a body cream. I already have a ton of body creams, and the idea of essential oils intrigued me. I have a friend who absolutely swears by her oils. So naturally, I was curious to see if they actually worked. Sweet orange is supposed to help with stomach cramps and headaches, while eucalyptus is supposed to help with sore muscles and cold symptoms. I suffer from headaches and sore muscles pretty frequently, so it won’t be long until I get to put these babies into action. Until then, I can say that they at least smell amazing.

The total value of this box was $309. While this isn’t the highest valued box I’ve ever received, it did have a ton of great items in it that I loved. Specifically, I’m super excited about the throw blanket, eye brightener, jewelry portfolio, headband and glove duo, and socks. Every item in this box was designed to keep me comfortable during the harsh days of winter. I’m already looking forward to seeing how amazing the spring box will be!

Thanks for reading!
